Southbury Public Library is closed until further notice.

Thank you for your continued support and patience during this difficult time as we recover from extreme damage caused by the flooding on August 18th & 19th. Information on the library’s reopening will be provided when it is available.

The library’s book drop is closed. For now, hold all returns or return them to any other Connecticut library. Please do not leave returns in front of the library. All Southbury fines will be waived.

If you need assistance with anything related to your library card account, please call 203-262-0626 or email asksbylib@biblio.org.

Library Closed for Regular Business Election Day

Primary tabs

Description

We will be closed for regular library business. The library is open for voting for Southbury residents who live in District #2 and voting will take place in the library’s Kingsley Room, 6:00am–8:00pm.

To find out more about voting in Southbury, please visit the town's Registrar of Voters information page, including information about where your polling location is and a sample ballot for each district. Check your Voter Registration status through the state's Voter Registration Lookup page; if you sent an absentee ballot, you can also check whether it has been received by the state's Voter Registration Lookup page.

While we are closed for regular business, eBooks and audiobooks and some of our online resources can still be accessed from home with your valid library card (Consumer Reports and ResearchIT CT can be accessed from home, but some resources like Ancestry can only be accessed from public library computers). The library staff will have an in-service training day.
