A collection of resources compiled by the Town of Southbury

The Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is responsible for maximizing survival of human life, for preventing and/or minimizing injuries, and for preserving property and resources in the Town of Southbury by making use of all available manpower, equipment, and other resources in the event of a disaster (natural or man-made crisis, national security threat/ terrorist emergency situation).

Southbury Parks and Recreation Department sponsors a diverse range of events, activities, and programs for the youth and young at heart of the Town of Southbury. These offerings are designed to meet the physical, social, cultural and educational needs of the community for those of all ages.

The Pomperaug District Department of Health (PDDH) provides Public Health services to the citizens of the towns of Southbury, Woodbury, and Oxford, Connecticut. Additionally, some programs are also open to non-residents.

Safe Haven provides emergency shelter and free comprehensive support services to victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Safe Haven is committed to ending violence and sexual assault by changing the social conditions and beliefs that perpetuate violence against women and children. 

Southbury Senior Center serves as a community resource as well as an activity center.

SAA is truly a volunteer driven organization which operates solely for the benefit of the Town of Southbury. We are your neighbors, the high school student, the man across the street, the store clerk, the business executive, the mother of your child’s best friend, the Little League coach, your carpenter, the mail carriers, the school nurse. We spend countless unpaid hours maintaining and updating our skills and knowledge. We are here for you when you need us.

The Southbury Business Association is the voice of Southbury’s local businesses offering business to business supporting programs and camaraderie. 

The goals of the Club are to promote interest in horticulture, further the conservation of natural resources, increase knowledge in the artistic use of plant material, and assist in civic programs.

The Southbury Land Trust's Mission is to preserve farmland, open spaces and other natural resources for the benefit of present and future residents of Southbury.
