Event Details
Join Megan, Registered Dietitian from Food Explorers to make brunch for dinner! We’ll be making Veggie (and Cheese) Stuffed French Toast! Savory not sweet, this brunch-for-dinner treat mixes the best parts of a grilled cheese, your favorite veggies, and the texture and perfect toastiness of French Toast.
You’ll need the following ingredients:
- Sandwich or Fresh Bread
- Milk
- Eggs
- Parmesan
- Oil
- Swiss Cheese (or Alternative)
- Your choice of vegetables: spinach and mushrooms work well, as do broccoli, peppers and kale
- Seasonings such as salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika
Families of 6th-12th Grade attendees are also welcome (just register as the primary teen when signing up, though!).
Registration is required as space is limited and in order to receive Zoom Meeting Credentials. Zoom Meeting Credentials will be sent out in the reminder email approximately 24 hours before the start of the program.
About our Presenter: Katie Shepherd is a Registered Dietitian who graduated from UCONN. Katie always knew she wanted to work with kids, and took the plunge to create Food Explorers. Food Explorers programs gets kids and teens hands-on with their food while they learn about healthy eating.
