In this lecture, presented by accomplished historian and storyteller Valerie Gugala, we will embark on a dazzling journey into the world of tiaras and jewelry belonging to the British royal family. These magnificent adornments have not only adorned the heads and necks of royalty but have also become symbols of tradition, power, and elegance. Join us as we explore the history, significance, and stories behind some of the most iconic and cherished pieces in the royal jewelry collection.
Valerie Gugala, is not only an accomplished historian but a storyteller. Over the last 25 years, Valerie has spoken at libraries, schools, churches, senior groups, and park districts throughout the country. She loves to share her knowledge of and enthusiasm for history.
Like all Southbury Public Library programs, this event is free to attend and open to anyone regardless of town of residency. Registration is required.
