Toni Morrison, the granddaughter of a slave, is an American writer, best known for Beloved and the first African-American woman to receive the Nobel Prize for Literature.  We will celebrate her life with this lecture of her achievements. 

Toni McKeen is a popular lecturer in the tri-state area. She presents a wide variety of programs on travel destinations around the world, as well as prominent artists throughout history. She is also a well-known local genealogist, and has been conducting research on her family for the last 30 years. McKeen has been teaching genealogy classes in Ridgefield, CT for the last 14 years.

Like all Southbury Public Library programs, this program is free to attend and open to anyone regardless of town of residency. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Southbury Public Library. Space is limited and registration is required.

This event will take place on Zoom. Invitation links are sent out on the day of the program.
