Southbury Public Library is closed until further notice.

Thank you for your continued support and patience during this difficult time as we recover from extreme damage caused by the flooding on August 18th & 19th. Information on the library’s reopening will be provided when it is available.

The library’s book drop is closed. For now, hold all returns or return them to any other Connecticut library. Please do not leave returns in front of the library. All Southbury fines will be waived.

If you need assistance with anything related to your library card account, please call 203-262-0626 or email asksbylib@biblio.org.

Event Details

This is the first day that our craft kits will be available to make a Felt Bird Bookmark! They will be available in the Teen Department on the second floor on top of the Teen Nonfiction bookshelves while supplies last. You can choose between two birds that travel to be in Connecticut: the blue-green tree swallow or yellow and gray Connecticut warbler.

International Migratory Bird Day was on Saturday, May 8 this year, but we want to celebrate birds the entire month. Each kit will have instructions and all supplies needed (except scissors).

You can work on the kits in your own time, or you can wait and work on them together with us during our Virtual Craft Meetup!

(P.S. If you share with us how your case came out in person or by emailing Elizabeth, our Teen Librarian, at eakelly@biblio.org you can get a special library bird pinback button!)
