Program Description

Event Details

Join us for a virtual live performance featuring Matthew on piano. Matthew offers an interactive musical program presenting Jazz and Blues styles that emanated from the Harlem Renaissance and from the southern United States. By explaining how much of true American music is steeped in blues and jazz roots, Matthew will make a clear correlation to other styles of music within the Americana realm.

Matthew Fishteyn is a multi-talented performer. An award-winning composer, pianist, and guitarist, Fishteyn seamlessly switches from jazz to rock'n roll and transforms his musical performance into a more personal and interactive experience. His repertoire in both composing and performing make a program that is not to be missed

Like all Southbury Public Library programs, this event is free to attend and open to anyone regardless of town of residency. Registration is required. This program is run by library staff. For more information about this program, please email Rebecca at rrandall@biblio.org or call the reference desk at 203-262-0626 ext 130.

We also have a virtual Zoom version of this event; see here for more information.
