Records and family history tell you an ancestor was born in Europe. But you need more than a country to “cross the pond.” This program will introduce the sources most likely to provide a specific town or county of birth for an ancestor who arrived in the US in the late 19th and early 20th century.
Bryna O’Sullivan is a Middletown, CT based professional genealogist and French to English genealogical translator. As proprietor of Charter Oak Genealogy, she specializes in lineage society translations.
Like all Southbury Public Library programs, this event is free to attend and open to anyone regardless of town of residency. Registration is required. This program is sponsored by the Janet Mann Fund. For more information about this program, please email Rebecca at rrandall@biblio.org or call the reference desk at 203-262-0626 ext 130.
