Event Details
Create a portrait of your pet with watercolor artist Nancy Roman! No experience necessary. All materials will be provided - paint, paper, brushes, etc.
You will need a 5” x 7” photo of your pet. A color copy is just fine. Because of the technique we will use to draw the pet, your photo needs to be 5x7. If you have a picture but you don’t have that size or still need to print it, email it to the reference librarian at rrandall@biblio.org in advance of the program. A close-up of your pet’s face is best, but you can also use a full-length picture. Either will work.
If you’d like to attend, but don’t have a pet or picture, that’s okay! Nancy will also have several pictures of pets you can pick from.
Nancy Roman is a Connecticut portrait artist who has conducted watercolor workshops throughout the region for several years. Come with a photo and two hours later, you will have a watercolor portrait ready to frame!
Like all Southbury Public Library programs, this event is free to attend and open to anyone regardless of town of residency. Registration is required. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Southbury Public Library. For more information about this program, please email Rebecca at rrandall@biblio.org or call the reference desk at 203-262-0626 ext 2.
