Join Mark Beninson of Lion’s Low Vision Center as he discusses resources available to those that are blind or low vision. Learn more about insurance coverage as well as how the Lion’s Low Vision Centers support affected individuals. 

Lion Mark Has been a member of the New Fairfield Lions Club since 2016. He has held numerous positions in his club: Tail Twister, Lion Tamer, 3 VP, 1 VP, President for two terms. He has also chaired numerous events for his club: Senior picnic, senior luncheon, Memorial Day, Veterans Day, July 4th parade, New Fairfield day. Mark has also chaired for multiple years the District and Multiple District Lion’s Alert program and, Red Cross liaison. He has served as a Zone Chairperson. Mark is a Melvin Jones Fellow. He has served and presently serves as a Trustee for Lions Low Vision Centers of Fairfield & New Haven Counties as well as a CLERF Trustee.

Mark is a retired Paramedic Lieutenant from the FDNY where he served for 29 years. He presently teaches as an American Heart Association instructor credentialing medical professionals. 

Like all Southbury Public Library programs, this event is free to attend and open to anyone regardless of town of residency. Registration is required.
