Event Details
Join us to make a lovely traditional lotus flower lantern with members of The Korean Spirit and Culture Promotion Project using colored paper and wireframes! There will also be a presentation about the lotus and the lantern festival, as well as a short documentary on Korea at the end of the class. In addition, books on Korean history and culture will be available at this event for free.
The Korean Spirit and Culture Promotion Project is a not-for-profit, non-government organization dedicated to the promotion of greater awareness and understanding of Korean history and culture. Its headquarters are in Seoul, Korea, with branches in New York, Los Angeles (USA), Kaufering (Germany) and London (UK).
Like all Southbury Public Library programs, this event is free to attend and open to anyone regardless of town of residency. Registration is required. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Southbury Public Library.
