Join Katie, Registered Dietitian from Food Explorers to make Loaded Veggie Tot Nachos! We’ll be making Tater Tots from scratch using your choice of either broccoli or zucchini, baking them until crispy and loading them with your favorite toppings.

You’ll need the following ingredients:

  • Broccoli or Zucchini,
  • 1-2 eggs
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Flour
  • Cheddar cheese
  • Your choice of toppings, such as: green onion, red onion, salsa, peppers, guacamole (1 avocado + 1 lime), cilantro, shredded Mexican cheese, Feta, sour cream, etc.

Families of 6th-12th Grade attendees are also welcome (just register as the primary teen when signing up, though!).

Registration is required as space is limited and in order to receive Zoom Meeting Credentials. Zoom Meeting Credentials will be sent out in the reminder email approximately 24 hours before the start of the program.

About our Presenter: Katie Shepherd is a Registered Dietitian who graduated from UCONN. Katie always knew she wanted to work with kids, and took the plunge to create Food Explorers. Food Explorers programs gets kids and teens hands-on with their food while they learn about healthy eating.
