Event Details

Join Food Explorers for a delicious summer cooking program! You’ll be making Italian Fruit Tarts, using fresh, seasonal fruit to create this yummy dessert, along with a tasty crust and lemony filling.

This recipe is nut free, but will contain dairy, eggs, and gluten.

About Food Explorers: Founded by Registered Dietician Katie Shepherd, Food Explorers empowers children and teens to learn about food, nutrition, and healthy eating through hands-on activities, games, and child and teen friendly cooking lessons. A UConn graduate, Katie took the plunge to create Food Explorers because she knew she wanted to work with kids and teens.
