Join Food Explorers to create a delicious sweet treat! What do you get when you put together crescent roll dough and chocolate hummus? (Yes, hummus, but we promise it's great!) Chocolate Croissant Bites! Roll out your dough, fill with chocolate hummus and seal them up tight, then watch them transform in the cake pop machine to delicious golden brown treats. This recipe is nut free.
Like all our teen events, this program is totally free, open to residents of any town in Grades 6-12, and sponsored by the Friends of the Southbury Public Library.
About Food Explorers: Founded by Registered Dietician Katie Shepherd, Food Explorers empowers children and teens to learn about food, nutrition, and healthy eating through hands-on activities, games, and child and teen friendly cooking lessons. A UConn graduate, Katie took the plunge to create Food Explorers because she knew she wanted to work with kids and teens. All Food Explorers instructors are Registered Dieticians who are passionate about providing kids and teens with knowledge about health and nutrition, empowering them to make their own healthy choices. Find out more about Food Explorers on their website, Instagram, or Facebook page.
