Join Food Explorers for a special two hour baking workshop! You’ll be making two delicious recipes from scratch and making your own individual servings: Caramel Cheesecake Cookies & Strawberry Shortcake Cups!
Recipes are nut free but will contain dairy, eggs, and gluten.
Registration is required. Space is limited. This event is free, open to residents of any town in Grades 2-5, and sponsored by the Friends of the Southbury Public Library.
About Food Explorers: Founded by Registered Dietician Katie Shepherd, Food Explorers empowers children and teens to learn about food, nutrition, and healthy eating through hands-on activities, games, and child and teen friendly cooking lessons. A UConn graduate, Katie took the plunge to create Food Explorers because she knew she wanted to work with kids and teens. All Food Explorers instructors are Registered Dieticians who are passionate about providing kids and teens with knowledge about health and nutrition, empowering them to make their own healthy choices.
