Have you ever wanted to start your own business? Whether you want to develop an exciting new product or shape up your side hustle, join us for this talk with Hugh Tansey, who has extensive experience with product development and business mentoring. Topics we’ll cover include the basics of customers, markets, products, and intellectual property.

Registration is required.

About our presenter: Hugh Tansey is a product development expert, with more than 45 years of experience in new product development and product life cycle management in the life sciences field. He has also held executive positions in general management, product development, sales & marketing, and service. Hugh's business mentoring experience includes mentoring with UCONN's Innovation Quest program over the past 12 years, as well as serving as a Business Mentor at SCORE, an organization that offers mentoring, tools, and workshops for small businesses.

This event is free, open to residents of any town in Grades 6-12, and sponsored by the Friends of the Southbury Public Library.
