Southbury Public Library is closed until further notice.

Thank you for your continued support and patience during this difficult time as we recover from extreme damage caused by the flooding on August 18th & 19th. Information on the library’s reopening will be provided when it is available.

The library’s book drop is closed. For now, hold all returns or return them to any other Connecticut library. Please do not leave returns in front of the library. All Southbury fines will be waived.

If you need assistance with anything related to your library card account, please call 203-262-0626 or email asksbylib@biblio.org.

Program Description

Event Details

Join us to make your own mini watermelon notebook! Learn a basic bookbinding technique to put this cute notebook together. This DIY tutorial is virtual over Zoom, but we will provide all the supplies you need except a pair of scissors, a pencil, and a black marker or pen (fine tip marker or gel pen work best). Pick up your supplies starting Monday, August 2 from the second floor Circulation Desk.

Unlike our To-Go Teen DIYs where the craft includes instructions, this program requires virtual attendance.

Registration is required in order to reserve your supplies and spot and in order to receive Zoom credentials.

This program is a part of our 2021 Teen Summer Reading Program: Tails & Tales– find out more about our summer reading program here! Like the rest of our summer reading program, this program is sponsored by the Friends of the Southbury Public Library.
