Program Description

Event Details

Artificial intelligence (AI) can be traced back to the British 1930s computer pioneer Alan Turing. In John Cilio’s 50-minute presentation, he will highlight AI for non-technical people to gain an understanding of the ABCs of Artificial Intelligence, its concepts including intelligent systems, deep learning and machine learning. The presentation helps explain AI’s ability to help make decisions using tools like expert systems, natural language processing applications and different kinds of artificial neural networks. AI is already facilitating fraud prevention in banking, assisting healthcare professionals and assisting in manufacturing. By the end of our presentation, you will be able to distinguish fact from fiction when it comes to understanding how artificial intelligence is shaping our future.

John Cilio is a fascinating historical storyteller, author, and researcher who has been captivating audiences with his tales of the past for over 15 years. As a proud member of the Organization of American Historians and the Association for the Study of Connecticut History, John has shared his wealth of knowledge through numerous articles in national magazines and newspapers. John Cilio continues to inspire and educate with his captivating storytelling and in-depth research. Get ready to be transported through time and experience history though period stories and vintage photographs.
