Read to Tucker at the Library

Independent readers of all ages are invited to read with Tucker the therapy dog. Sign up for 15 minute sessions.

Reading to dogs has both physiological and psychological consequences. Improve self-confidence and reduce stress by sharing a story in a pawsitive, judgement free environment.

Tucker is a 5 year old, hypoallergenic standard poodle and member of the Alliance of Therapy Dogs. He has visited many local libraries for various reading programs. He and his “mom” and owner, Jane Hellman is a Newtown residents.

RESCHEDULED – Munchies & a Movie: Ferdinand

DUE TO THE STORM, MUNCHIES AND A MOVIE FOR FRIDAY, MAY 18 HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY, MAY 25

Each month we offer a special Friday night movie called Munchies & a Movie at 6:00 pm and registration is required. We have snack bags of munchies and bottles of water and show a variety of newly released children’s movies. 

Our next movie will be “Ferdinand” on Friday, May 25. This movie is rated PG and runs 1 hour and 48 minutes.

Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
