Silly Song Sing-a-Long with Edward Leonard

A Silly Song Sing-A-Long is a mix of popular children’s songs, interactive musical games, dance, movement, and rhythms.

Kids (and their grown-up friends) will sing, dance, and act silly with Edward, his guitars, drums, and grab bag of musical surprises and gags.

Read to Tucker at the Library

Independent readers of all ages are invited to read to Tucker. Sign up for 15 minute sessions.

Reading to dogs has both physiological and psychological consequences. Improve self-confidence and reduce stress by sharing a story in a pawsitive, judgement free environment.

Tucker is a 5 year old, hypoallergenic standard poodle and member of the Alliance of Therapy Dogs. He has visited many local libraries for various reading programs. He and his “mom” and owner, Jane Hellman is a Newtown residents.

Young Artists with Paula Brinkman

Newtown resident and artist Paula Brinkman will be offering a painting workshop for the Pre-K crowd!

Fun with Rhythms with Edward Leonard

Fun with Rhythms is an educational drum and music circle designed to teach children (and adults) the fundamentals of music while playing interactive rhythm games with drums and hand-held percussion instruments from around the world. The program lasts about an hour and includes making maracas with plastic eggs and recyclable containers that everyone can take home.
